Service overview
Choosing a Curtain Supplier and Maker in Al Rayyan
Custom curtain making involves measuring the window, selecting fabric and lining, agreeing on the heading and mounting system, and making the curtains to the required size. The finished curtains are then fitted at the property as agreed. If you are comparing a curtain shop in Al Rayyan, start by confirming that a visit can be arranged for your address and clarifying the full fitting scope.
Al Rayyan homes can include multi-room villas, family living areas, majlis rooms and apartments with tall or wide windows. Ready-made panels may not match every ceiling height or window span, so accurate measurements and a clear specification matter before fabric is cut.
Many Al Rayyan villas have large ground-floor windows, a formal majlis and several bedrooms, each with different light and privacy needs. Planning curtains for the whole house in one visit keeps fabrics, heights and fittings consistent from room to room, and makes it easier to compare options side by side.
Curtains are only part of what we do. The same team can make Window Blinds Made to Measure in Qatar for kitchens, bathrooms and offices, and our sofa upholstery Doha workshop can re-cover sofas and majlis seating in fabric chosen to work with your new curtains. For blinds, Al Rayyan customers can choose roller, vertical, zebra or roman styles, and sofa upholstery for Al Rayyan homes is planned the same way: photo first, then a visit.

Materials and hardware
Materials for Custom Curtains in Qatar
Choosing fabric is about more than colour. Compare the level of light control, texture, cleaning requirements and mounting hardware that suits each room. Availability should be confirmed before ordering.
| Material or option | What it does | Common use | What to confirm |
|---|---|---|---|
| Blackout lining | Designed to reduce incoming light when used with a suitable curtain and fit. | Bedrooms and rooms where darker conditions are preferred. | Available lining, side gaps and the level of light reduction expected. |
| Sheer voile fabric | Softens daylight while keeping the window visually lighter. | Living rooms, majlis windows and layered curtain arrangements. | Opacity, daytime privacy and fabric care instructions. |
| Thermal or lined fabric | Adds a layer between the room and direct sunlight; results depend on the full window setup. | Sun-exposed windows and rooms with stronger light-control needs. | Fabric and lining combination, window orientation and mounting position. |
| Velvet, linen and other drapery fabrics | Different weights and textures create different folds and visual finishes. | Formal rooms, master bedrooms and majlis spaces. | Current samples, weight, cleaning needs and total fabric quantity. |
| Ceiling tracks, wall tracks and rods | Support the curtain and affect how it opens, closes and sits around the window. | Floor-length curtains, wide openings and windows requiring a particular mounting position. | Window construction, curtain weight, fitting access and what is included in the quote. |
What to compare
Why Consider Al Abdali Curtain Furniture?
A custom curtain order should be clear about measurements, materials, cost and fitting. Confirm those points before the fabric is cut.
| Decision point | Ready-made curtains | Made-to-measure service |
|---|---|---|
| Window dimensions | Choose from the sizes available in the selected product. | Plan the curtain around the agreed window measurements. |
| Fabric and light control | Depends on the material and lining of the ready-made item. | Discuss fabric, lining and opacity options for the room. |
| Finish | Finishing is set by the product selected. | Agree heading style, length and other finishing details before production. |
| Fitting | May require separate installation, depending on the retailer. | Fitting can be included as agreed in the quotation. |
| Unusual or large windows | Suitability depends on available sizes and hardware. | Measurements and mounting requirements can be assessed before making. |

Quotation details
What Affects the Cost of Custom Curtains?
Every window and project specification is different, so the total should be based on the requirements of your room rather than an unconfirmed fixed price.
1. Window width and height
Wider or taller windows typically need more fabric and can require different mounting arrangements.
2. Fabric and yardage
Material, texture, weight and required fullness affect the amount and type of fabric.
3. Lining requirements
Sheer, unlined, blackout and thermal options have different material and sewing requirements.
4. Heading and finish
Wave, pinch-pleat and eyelet styles differ in appearance and how they are made and mounted.
5. Tracks, rods and installation
Hardware type, brackets, access and the fitting scope may change the final quotation.
Local planning
Curtains: Al Rayyan Villas, Majlis Rooms and Apartments
When comparing a curtain supplier and maker in Al Rayyan, start with the room, window and how you use the space. Those details are more useful than selecting a fabric by appearance alone.
Strong sunlight and glare
For windows exposed to afternoon sun, discuss lining and fabric options. The result depends on window orientation, glass, coverage at the sides and the full installation.
Villas, majlis rooms and apartments
Different rooms need different finishes. Consider the window height, wall space, furniture and how often the curtains will be opened.
Privacy and everyday care
Sheer layers, heavier curtains and blackout lining serve different purposes. Check cleaning instructions and how much privacy is needed during the day and night.
Ground-floor rooms that face the street often need a sheer by day and a lined curtain by night, while upstairs bedrooms usually need blackout lining for sleep.

Helpful answers
Custom Curtain FAQs for Al Rayyan
Quick answers about curtains, Al Rayyan visits, fabrics and timing. Confirm service coverage, material availability and timing for your specific address and order.
How long does custom curtain making take in Qatar?
Timing depends on fabric, lining, order size and the installation schedule. Most curtain orders are made and fitted within 2–3 days after the quotation is approved, and one wedding-room order was completed in two days. The team confirms the timeline for your order before you approve it.
Are home measurement visits free in Al Rayyan?
Measuring visits are free anywhere in Doha. For curtains, Al Rayyan addresses are confirmed one by one: send your address or location pin and we will tell you whether a visit is available and whether any charge applies before you make plans.
What is the difference between blackout and sheer curtains?
Blackout lining is designed to reduce incoming light and is often considered for bedrooms or rooms where darker conditions are preferred. Sheer voile softens daylight and creates a lighter appearance. A layered arrangement can provide both options, depending on the selected fabric and fit.
Can ceiling tracks support heavy floor-to-ceiling curtains?
Track suitability depends on the curtain weight, window span, mounting surface and fixing method. Share a window photo and explain the fabric you are considering. The right track, mounting position and installation requirements should be confirmed before the order is approved.
How do I choose fabric for Qatar's sunlight and dust?
Start with the window's sunlight, the room's purpose and your privacy needs. Lined or blackout options may help reduce incoming light, while a sheer layer softens daylight. Check the care label and ask about cleaning before choosing a fabric, especially when it includes a separate lining.
Do you handle both villas and apartments?
Yes. We make curtains for villas, apartments, majlis rooms and offices across Doha, and Al Rayyan is among the areas we cover. Contact the team with your exact address, the type of property and a window photo so we can arrange the right visit.
Can you also do blinds and sofa upholstery in Al Rayyan?
Yes. Alongside curtains, Al Rayyan customers can order made-to-measure blinds and sofa or majlis upholstery from the same team. Mention every room and piece when you first message us, so measuring, fabric choices and quotes can be planned together.
How do I contact a curtain supplier and maker in Al Rayyan?
